We absolutely can! However you'll save $225 when you come to us.

We'll travel as far as Bay St. Louis to Baton Rouge (east to west), and to Shreveport down to the Gulf (north to south). If you live further out, we have partners we can gladly refer you to.

Question 2: Best way to maintain my SeaDek?

Beyond regular cleaning, a few key practices will help prolong the life and appearance of your SeaDek:

Allow it to Dry: While SeaDek is made from closed-cell PE/EVA foam and doesn't absorb water, it's still best to allow the surface and the area beneath it to dry thoroughly. After washing or a day on the water, wipe it down with a towel and ensure good air circulation. Trapped moisture, especially in humid environments, can potentially lead to mildew growth on the boat surface underneath over extended periods.

Cover Your Boat: When your boat is not in use, the preferred method of storage is to keep it covered. Whether it's in a garage, under a canvas boat cover, or in a covered slip, protecting your SeaDek from constant, direct exposure to the elements will help it last longer and slow down color fading.

Be Mindful of Sharp Objects: SeaDek is durable, but it's made from foam. Sharp objects like knives, tools, pet claws, or even dragging heavy, rough items across the surface can cause cuts, tears, or gouges. While a puncture won't cause the material to absorb water, it can affect the appearance.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals (Beyond Approved Cleaners): Do not use acid-based cleaners (unless specifically recommended for a particular stain like rust, and then with caution), acetone (except with extreme care for adhesive removal, avoiding the SeaDek material itself), or mineral spirits directly on the SeaDek for general maintenance. Some chemicals can damage the material or affect the adhesive.

Address Spills Promptly: While this borders on cleaning, quickly addressing spills like fuel, oil, or dark liquids prevents them from having extended contact time, making actual cleaning much easier and reducing the chance of any long-term effects.

Watch for Light Amplification/Focused Heat: In rare cases, highly reflective surfaces on a boat can focus sunlight onto SeaDek, creating intense heat that could potentially damage or deform the material. Be mindful of areas where this might occur, though this is not a common issue for most installations.

Regular Inspection: Periodically check the edges and seams of your SeaDek pads to ensure the adhesive is holding strong and there's no lifting. Addressing any minor lifting early can prevent it from becoming a larger issue.

Question 4: Best ways to clean SeaDek?

Maintaining your SeaDek is straightforward, and prompt cleaning is key to keeping it looking its best. Because SeaDek is made of closed-cell PE/EVA foam, it's non-absorbent and naturally stain-resistant, meaning dirt and grime generally stay on the surface.

For general cleaning of things like dirt and footprints, you can use a variety of household cleaners, an all-purpose cleaner, degreaser, or even dish soap with warm water and a medium-bristled brush. Work the soapy mixture into the SeaDek, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if needed.

SeaDek also offers a specially formulated cleaner called Dek Magic, which is designed for PE/EVA foam and is effective on tougher stains like oil, blood, and wine. To use it, spray Dek Magic on the area, work it in with a medium-bristled brush, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then dampen the area, scrub again, and rinse thoroughly.

Here are tips for specific types of stains:

-Suntan Lotion: Use an all-purpose cleaner or degreaser with a medium-bristled brush. Scrub until the oil is out and rinse.

-Fish Blood: A solution of one cup of bleach per gallon of warm water can be used. Scrub with a soft-bristled brush in a circular motion and rinse well.

-Rust Stains: For rust, try a capful of vinegar or oxalic acid. Apply it to the stain, let it soak for 3-5 minutes, and if needed, gently massage it into the texture (wearing gloves is recommended). Rinse thoroughly. Be careful when using oxalic acid near the edges of the pad, as it could affect the lamination or adhesive.

-Stubborn Stains: If general cleaners don't work, a bleach solution (one cup of bleach per gallon of water) can be used with a soft-bristled brush in a circular motion, followed by a thorough rinse.

A light-duty, low PSI pressure washer with a wide-angle tip can also be an easy way to clean SeaDek after a day on the water, but use caution to keep a suitable distance to avoid damage.

Important Notes:

Always tend to spills and stains as soon as possible for the easiest cleanup. Avoid using mineral spirits, acetone (if you must, use with extreme caution and avoid adhesives), and undiluted bleach. Some hull cleaners should only be used for spot treatment of rust and not as general cleaners. When cleaning, it's recommended to use tap water rather than river, lake, or seawater, which can contain suspended matter. Always rinse thoroughly with fresh water after cleaning.

Question 3: Do dark colors get hot?

Dark SeaDek colors will get warmer than lighter shades in direct sun, like any material. However, its closed-cell foam construction helps it dissipate heat and remain more comfortable underfoot compared to many other marine flooring options.

Question 5: Do you have a kit?

No, we do not offer pre-made kits. All our SeaDek installations are fully custom, meticulously measured and designed specifically for your boat to ensure a perfect fit and personalized finish.
